5. Evaluate: How’d we do? What’s next?
Once we’ve completed the project, it’s important to step back and evaluate the entire process. Together, we’ll answer questions like these:
- Did we meet our established project objectives? Budget? Time line?
- What went well?
- What unanticipated challenges did we face?
- What lessons did we learn?
At this point, we can also establish the next steps. That might mean making changes to the current project, or it might mean looking to the future to begin a new project.
MarComm’s role: Gather metrics, begin evaluation, and present results to you. Listen to your feedback on the project process. Create a final project evaluation and ensure it and all related project files are properly archived.
Your role: Provide answers to the questions above. Work with us to gather any remaining metrics or outcome data to add to the final project evaluation report. Help determine next steps for you and for your MarComm team, where necessary.
